Characterization of Sugar Cane Bagasse Ash: A Comparison to Densified Silica Fume and Fly Ash
نویسندگان
چکیده
In this study the Sugar cane bagasse ash (SCBA) was characterized for chemical composition, morphological and mineralogical properties. From XRF analysis it found that SCBA has SiO2, Al2O3, Fe2O3 CaO content of 67.25%, 6.37%, 4.21% 13% respectively a very low LOI value 0.34% can be classified as Class F ASTM pozzolan according to C 618-2009. used pozzolanic material after grinding less than 45 Micron. Based on properties obtained from characterization in concluded that, utilization concrete will positively affect hardened due reaction, cementing filling effect SCBA. Moreover minimize negative impacts associated with disposal.

Use of Slag/Sugar Cane Bagasse Ash (SCBA) Blends in the Production of Alkali-Activated Materials
Blast furnace slag (BFS)/sugar cane bagasse ash (SCBA) blends were assessed for the production of alkali-activated pastes and mortars. SCBA was collected from a lagoon in which wastes from a sugar cane industry were poured. After previous dry and grinding processes, SCBA was chemically characterized: it had a large percentage of organic matter (ca. 25%). Solutions of sodium hydroxide and sodium...

Although ample studies have been reported with randomly distribute...
متن کاملGel/Space Ratio Evolution in Ternary Composite System Consisting of Portland Cement, Silica Fume, and Fly Ash
In cement-based pastes, the relationship between the complex phase assemblage and mechanical properties is usually described by the "gel/space ratio" descriptor. The gel/space ratio is defined as the volume ratio of the gel to the available space in the composite system, and it has been widely studied in the cement unary system. This work determines the gel/space ratio in the cement-silica fume...
